The port of Igoumenitsa is geographically the closest port in Greece to Italy and the Balkan countries of the Adriatic Sea and is therefore an important bridge for people and goods to and from Western Europe. The port's main connections are the Italian ports (Bari, Brindisi, Ancona, Venice, Trieste and Ravenna), as well as Corfu and Paxos.
Drepano beach is the closest beach to the town of Igoumenitsa and is loved by many locals and tourists because of Egnatia in the summer!
